Vitamin C in Astrafarm`s products: positive impact on the body

In order to raise public awareness of the benefits of ascorbic acid, a special holiday was created in the world – National Vitamin C Day. It is celebrated annually on April 4.

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin whose main functions are:

• regulation of collagen synthesis – a protein that provides strength and elasticity to connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, cartilages, skin);
• increasing the absorption of iron;
• protection of the body from harmful pathogens, such as viral and bacterial infections;
• acceleration of wound healing;
• antioxidant activity – slowing or prevention of cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

Because of these properties, we add vitamin C to some Astrafarm`s products:

• as a part of Astracitron and Astracitron Forte, it increases the body’s resistance to infections, protects cells from damage by free radicals, regulates the permeability of capillaries and stimulates the synthesis of collagen, which acts as a barrier against foreign invaders in the skin structure;
• as a part of Mucolteyka, vitamin C contributes to general strengthening of the body and boosts the immune system during cold season.
