New chondroprotector Hitart
Astrapharm developed and launched on the Ukrainian market a modern product for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the musculoskeletal system – chondroprotector Hitart.
1 capsule of Hitart contains 3 active components: glucosamine hydrochloride – 325 mg, chondroitin sodium sulfate – 325 mg, methylsulfonylmethane – 200 mg.
Glucosamine is a component of articular cartilage, intervertebral disc, and synovial fluid. It stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and synovial production of hyaluronic acid, increases the permeability of the joint capsule, and decreases the activity of catabolic enzymes in the cartilage. Glucosamine hydrochloride of Hitart is produced by the hydrolysis of the exoskeletons of marine animals.
Chondroitin is a naturally occurring substance formed of sugar chains. It is normally found in cartilage around joints in the body. Studies have shown that chondroitin slows the resorption of bone tissue, reduces calcium loss, accelerates bone regeneration, inhibits cartilage degeneration, and stimulates the regeneration of articular cartilage. Glucosamine is an essential building block for the synthesis of chondroitin. Decreased amount of glucosamine in the synovial fluid leads to a decrease in the level of chondroitin sulfate, which impairs the quality of the synovial fluid and causes crepitus in a joint. Therefore, glucosamine and chondroitin generally work as a “duet”.
In addition to two aforementioned active ingredients, Hitart contains methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – a sulfur chemical compound found in plants, animals, and humans. It is an important component in the structure of body proteins, hormones, enzymes and tissues. Sulfur is necessary for collagen synthesis, oxidation reactions in cells, carbohydrate metabolism and maintenance of acid-base balance. It stimulates the production of synovial fluid, reduces the risk of seizures and joint inflammation, and also decreases joint and muscle pain. The elderly population tends to lose MSM, so its reserves must be restored. Supplementing the body with additional amounts of sulfur helps to maintain connective tissue integrity. That is why Methylsulfonylmethane is included to Hitart.
Hitart is a carefully balanced combination of two natural components of the cartilage – glucosamine and chondroitin, and organic sulfur (MSM) that protects and restores joints.
