Erosil – the modern erectile dysfunction treatment

For more than 10 years, the pharmaceutical company Astrapharm has been successfully providing the Ukrainian market with a drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction – Erosil.

The drug is prescribed for men with erectile dysfunction. It is a person`s inability to achieve or maintain an erection of the penis necessary for successful intercourse.

The active ingredient of Erosil is sildenafil citrate. During sexual arousal, the drug restores reduced erectile function by increasing blood flow to the penis.

The mechanism of action of Erosil is realized through the stimulation of the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpora cavernosa during sexual arousal. The released NO activates a number of processes that cause relaxation of the smooth muscles of the corpora cavernosa, promoting blood flow.

Thus, the pharmacological effect of the drug Erosil is achieved only in the presence of sexual stimulation.

Maximum observed plasma concentrations are reached within 30 to 120 minutes after oral dosing in the fasted state. Taking sildenafil during a meal may cause Erosil to take effect more slowly.

Erosil comes in tablets, that contain 50 or 100 mg of sildenafil citrate (1 or 2, or 4 tablets in a blister).

The drug is dispensed on prescription only.
