Astracitron Extra
Release Forms:
The composition of 1 sachet:
- main substances: paracetamol – 500 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride – 10 mg, pheniramine maleate – 20 mg, ascorbic acid – 50 mg;
- auxiliary substances: citric acid; sodium citrate; colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous; sucrose; saccharin; «Orange» flavoring (a mixture of aromatic substances, maltodextrin, glucose, acacia gum (gum arabic) (E414), pectin (E440)); «Sunset Yellow» dye (E110).
Main physicochemical properties: a pale orange-pink powder with an orange scent.
10 or 30 packets (sachets) packed in a cardboard box.
Indications for use.
Symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory infections and influenza:
- fever,
- headache,
- nasal congestion,
- rhinorrhea,
- muscle pain and aches.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to any of the components; severe liver and/or kidney dysfunction; congenital hyperbilirubinemia; glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; phenylketonuria; alcoholism; blood disorders; leukopenia; anemia; severe forms of arrhythmia, arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease; hyperthyroidism; acute pancreatitis; prostate hypertrophy with urinary retention; bladder neck obstruction; pyloroduodenal obstruction; bronchial asthma; angle-closure glaucoma; pheochromocytoma; thrombosis; thrombophlebitis; diabetes mellitus; epilepsy; states of increased excitability; sleep disorders; concurrent treatment with tricyclic antidepressants, β-blockers, other sympathomimetics, appetite-suppressing or appetite-enhancing drugs and amphetamine-like psychostimulants; concurrent treatment with MAO inhibitors and for two weeks after their use.
Method of application and recommended daily amount.
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in a glass of hot (not boiling) water and drink. The intake may be repeated every 3–4 hours, but no more than 3 sachets per day.
The maximum duration of use is 5 days.
Children.
The product is contraindicated for children under 14 years of age.
